Migraine attack not responding to your home medications?

The 2025 American Headache Society guideline update for acute migraine treatment in adults highlights nerve blocks as an evidence-based option for migraine attacks:

✅ Occipital nerve blocks — Level A evidence
“Must offer” for eligible patients

✅ Supraorbital nerve blocks — Level B evidence
“May offer” for eligible patients

At CNMRI 2.0, we offer both occipital nerve blocks and supraorbital nerve blocks for appropriate patients who need fast, in-office treatment for an acute migraine attack.

These procedures are quick, performed in the office, and may provide immediate pain relief when your usual home medications are not enough.

If you are an established patient and your migraine is not improving with your rescue medications, please call our office to see if you are eligible to schedule a nerve block.
